Create your own flavored olive oils at home to enhance salads, bread, and cooking. This simple project involves infusing high-quality olive oil with herbs, garlic, or chili for delicious homemade condiments.

Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Sterilize glass bottles or jars by washing them with hot soapy water and drying thoroughly.
2. Choose your flavoring ingredients: fresh herbs, peeled garlic cloves, or dried chili peppers.
3. Lightly bruise herbs or crush garlic cloves to release flavors.
4. Place your chosen ingredients into the bottle or jar.
5. Using a funnel, pour olive oil over the ingredients until they are fully submerged.
6. Seal the bottle tightly and place it in a cool, dark place to infuse for 1-2 weeks.
7. Shake the bottle gently every couple of days to mix flavors.
8. After infusion, strain the oil through cheesecloth or a fine strainer into a clean bottle to remove solids.
9. Label your infused oils with the flavor and date.
10. Store infused oils in a cool, dark place and use within 1 month for best flavor.
