Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Prepare your workspace by covering it with a plastic table cover or garbage bags to protect surfaces.
2. Put on plastic gloves to protect your hands from the dye.
3. Lay the t-shirt flat and decide on your tie-dye pattern (spiral, stripes, bullseye, etc.).
4. Pinch and twist the shirt to create the chosen pattern and secure it tightly with rubber bands.
5. Mix your fabric dye according to the package instructions, using squeeze bottles for easier application.
6. Apply the dye to the shirt sections created by the rubber bands, using different colors as desired.
7. Once dyed, place the shirt in a plastic bag and let it set for 6 to 8 hours or overnight for vibrant colors.
8. After setting, rinse the shirt under cold water while removing the rubber bands until the water runs clear.
9. Wash the shirt separately with mild detergent and air dry or tumble dry on low heat.
10. Your custom tie-dye t-shirt is ready to wear!
