Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Prepare your workspace and gather all materials.
2. Study your printed drawing and decide which areas to fill with quilled paper.
3. Learn basic quilling rolls: tight coil (roll paper strip tightly with quilling tool), loose coil (roll then let it loosen before gluing), teardrop (pinch one side of a loose coil), and scrolls (do not glue the roll).
4. Create different sizes of coils by varying the length of paper strips.
5. Match colors from your quilling paper to parts of your drawing.
6. Start quilling shapes by rolling strips with the quilling tool and shaping them as needed.
7. Carefully glue the ends of each coil to prevent unrolling.
8. Use tweezers to place each quilled piece onto your drawing, applying a tiny amount of glue with a toothpick or brush.
9. Fill the drawing area section by section, combining different shapes and colors to add texture and depth.
10. Allow the glue to dry completely before handling or framing your artwork.
